INDIGO CLASSICは、日本の土と手仕事から生まれるファクトリーブランドです。私たちは畑で藍を育て、蒅（すくも）を仕込み、染め、縫い上げるまでを一貫して行います。服づくりの起点を“素材の素性”に置くことで、工程の一つひとつに責任を持ち、見通しのよいものづくりを選んでいます。

藍は伝統でありながら、色そのものは驚くほど現代的です。私たちは「藍染らしくない藍染」をテーマに、過度な装飾をそぎ落とし、静けさとモードが同居する佇まいをめざします。輪郭の美しさ、空気を含む余白、肌と布が触れ合う確かな感触。日常に自然に馴染み、ふとした瞬間に品が立つ服であること。

設計の中心にあるのは、“10年着られる、そして10年着たいと思える”という基準です。縫製仕様や負荷のかかる部位の設計、洗濯に耐える素材選定まで、長く着る前提で決めています。色は育ち、風合いは重なり、時間そのものが価値へと変わる——そんな前提でつくります。

染色は小さな単位で丁寧に。藍甕の機嫌を毎日見極め、必要以上に重ねない。ムラも偶然も、その人だけの表情になるように受け止めます。できあがるまでの足跡はできるだけ透明に、永く楽しむためのケア方法も率直にお伝えします。

INDIGO CLASSIC is a factory brand rooted in the soil and craftsmanship of Japan.
From cultivating indigo in the fields, to fermenting sukumo, dyeing, and sewing—we oversee every step of the process. By placing the origin of our garments in the integrity of the material itself, we take responsibility for each stage of creation and choose a transparent path of making.

Though indigo is steeped in tradition, its color remains strikingly modern. Our theme is “indigo that doesn’t feel like indigo.” We strip away excess decoration and pursue garments that balance stillness with a quiet sense of the avant-garde. Clarity of silhouette, space that breathes, and the tactile presence of fabric against skin—pieces that settle naturally into daily life, yet reveal elegance in unexpected moments.

At the core of our design philosophy lies one standard: “clothing that can be worn for 10 years, and clothing you will want to wear for 10 years.” From sewing specifications and reinforcements at stress points, to material selection that endures repeated washing, every decision is made with longevity in mind. Color deepens, texture evolves, and time itself becomes part of the garment’s value.

Dyeing is done in small batches, with careful attention to the condition of the indigo vat each day. We avoid unnecessary layering; natural irregularities and chance variations are embraced as unique expressions for each wearer. The process remains as transparent as possible, and we openly share how to care for the garments so they can be enjoyed for years to come.
